Summary

We are seeking to appoint a part time Business Officer to provide administrative support to the School Attendance team in carrying out the Local Authority’s statutory duties in relation to the processing of penalty notices and Children Missing from Education. The post holder will work closely alongside the Senior Business Officer, County Attendance Manager and County Legal Manager as well as carrying out general office duties as required supporting with Elective Home Education and other areas of admissions and attendance. Experience of using Excel is essential example: filtering, sorting, data input.

The successful candidate will have an office base at Young People March, City Road, March although we are able to offer Hybrid working arrangements (this role will be a flexible work model which will be remote and office based). You will have experience of working within a busy office environment. Ideally you will have knowledge of Local Authority working/Education Services, and have experience in partnership working with other agencies, teams and services.

In terms of working pattern, we can be flexible although there is a service requirement to you to commit to working Thursday and Friday.
