Summary
Op RESTORE is an NHS service hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust that supports individuals who have served in, or are leaving, the UK Armed Forces and have continuing, physical health injuries and related medical problems attributed to their time in the Armed Forces.
This is an opportunity for a motivated, driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for veterans healthcare or with experience of working in the Armed Forces to help the service develop an understanding of veteran wellbeing to support referrals into the service.
Successful candidates will have a strong admin background and be comfortable working on their own. They will be confident to liaise with military charities, NHS providers and other veteran programmes to compile a directory of services to support the wellbeing provision of the service.
Please note this is a hybrid post – the expectation is that the postholder will be based at their home with occasional travel into London or other parts of England.
Op RESTORE is an NHS service that supports individuals who have served in, or are leaving, the UK Armed Forces and have continuing, physical health injuries and related medical problems attributed to their time in the Armed Forces. The service supports the referrals for veterans received by GPs and provide oversight and direction to the onward clinical pathways for veterans.
To develop, support and implement plans for service improvement using modernisation techniques and involve patients in order to ensure that services have the required capacity to meet key clinical performance targets. This role will support the liaison between the service and other veteran programmes such as VCHA Veteran Aware accreditation and RCGP Veteran Friendly accreditation and ensure the profile of the service is increased over the next 12 months.
