Summary

Post Title: Apprenticeship Experience Officer
SBU/Department: Hertfordshire Business School

FTE: 1.0fte, working 37 hours per week. Part-Time may also be considered.
Duration of Contract: Permanent
Salary: UH6 £31,396 pa to £37,099 pa (pro rata if part time) on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days (pro rata if part-time) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: de Havilland Campus, Hatfield

Main duties and responsibilities
Within this role you will provide direct support to employer mentors and commissioners, co-ordinating learner registrations, responding to requests and providing support and accountability in relation to key areas of compliance and apprenticeship management.
It will require you to support the onboarding, orientation, and induction of new apprentices at the University and support student engagement activities and attendance management within the University, including monitoring and intervention.

You will also serve as Clerk to all HBS Apprenticeship committees and groups, producing agendas, and relevant reports, taking minutes and ensuring the appropriate administration of formal governance. In addition to this you will proactively manage and monitor HBS apprenticeship data, compiling reports as required and assuring the quality and robustness of data by holding relevant teams and individuals to account.

Skills and experience required
You will have relevant knowledge of apprenticeships, work-based learning or practice-based
Programmes and of working within a highly regulated environment.
You will be expected to have good IT skills and a knowledge of and be sensitive to the complex areas of student support. You must have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, planning, organisational and time management skills, and be proficient in English Language.
You will need to be an effective team player, with the ability to work collaboratively. You must be flexible and adaptable to workload and student requirements, and be expected to have a committed approach to issues related to equality and diversity.

Qualifications required
For this role you will hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent level 6 qualification, in a relevant subject area or have relevant proven experience.
