Summary
This is a new post to provide additional resource to this busy team, and you will be working closely with our other Tenancy Support and Sustainment Officers. In this role you will be working with vulnerable residents who need help to identify and access appropriate services, so they can maintain their tenancies. You will also work closely with residents who are affected by redevelopment or downsizing, or who need re-housing urgently, making practical arrangements to enable them to move to new accommodation.
You will have knowledge of housing management and experience of working in support services or in partnership with agencies such as Citizens’ Advice and social services, along with an understanding of the needs of older and vulnerable people. The ability to empathise and communicate effectively whilst maintaining clear boundaries is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have an organised approach in managing your work and be able to work without direct supervision. A driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential, as you will be visiting people in their homes or other community locations. A good working knowledge of IT is essential.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicant as part of our pre-employment checks.
Benefits include a pension scheme with a minimum employee contribution of 3%, matched by a generous employer contribution of up to 10%. Holiday entitlement starting at 25 days rising to 28 days after 2 years, plus bank holidays. We also offer a flexible working policy to support agile working. A discounted corporate gym and swimming membership, electric vehicle lease scheme and Costco membership.
