Summary

We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our busy team.

Responsible for influencing functional strategy and managing the daily operations by anticipating, guiding, development of, and implementing required systems, procedures and programs to consistently meet Capita's standards for quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and contractual commitments.

Responsible for the delivery of highly visible services that contribute significantly to achievement of customer satisfaction, Performance Indicators (PI's) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), cost, expense and other business objectives.

This position significantly influences and/or develops functional strategy, plans resources, sets priorities, and establishes policies that will meet business objectives and address customer requirements. Responsibilities include direct line management of Capita and Contracting employees, and working closely with peers, internal stakeholders and third parties. We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our busy team, initially based on a 6 month contract.

This position significantly influences and/or develops functional strategy, plans resources, sets priorities, and establishes policies that will meet business objectives and address customer requirements. Responsibilities include direct line management of Capita and Contracting employees, and working closely with peers, internal stakeholders and third parties.

What you'll be doing:

• Management responsibility/ownership for delivery of services provided by your teams.
• Effectively and positively communicate the organisational mission, vision, values, goals, performance management and action plans.
• Adhere to and promote Capita values and abide by the leadership standard - leading by example
• Responsible for developing and maintaining high performing teams through effective people management, employee engagement and communication
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a team culture and staff motivation, that maximises team working and cooperation
• Work closely with your peers and resource planning to effectively manage the workload and resource within business plan (budget) and PI
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for your business functions to reduce cost, improve productivity/quality, improve the customer experience, reduce risk and increase staff engagement/morale
• Responsible for developing your team positively promoting employees and supporting their career aspirations.

What we're looking for:

• An experienced operations manager, demonstrable experience leading multiple teams
• High standards, attention to detail and a desire to make a difference.
• Strong management, leadership, organization, communication and planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate with customers and staff at all levels
• Decision making under difficult circumstances.
• Initiative and effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Problem solving with a high degree of analytical ability towards the business which assists in the process of identifying additional business opportunities and proposing and implementing process improvements.
• Self-driven, highly motivated, demonstrates initiative and is proactive in their approach to the business.
• Ability to write complex reports, strategies and proposals on a range of subjects
• Ability to manage business plans and resources effectively meeting service levels, key performance indicators whilst achieving efficiencies.
• Engenders team working and partnership approach to problem solving and business plan and project production
