Deputy Nurse Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000

Hours per week: 40

Requirements for the Deputy Nurse Manager role:
  • You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN/RMN /RNLD
  • Active NMC PIN
  • Clear DBS.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning

The role of a Deputy Nurse Manager within the Nursing Home involves:
  • Being responsible for the management of the nursing services in liaison with the Home Manager
  • Promoting and maintaining high standard of nursing care
  • Ensuring effective induction of new nursing staff and providing ongoing clinical supervision of trained staff
  • Woking within the NMC and CQC standards, alongside internal policies and procedures
  • Planning, directing and delivering high quality person-centre care through care planning process
  • Overseeing all aspects of medicine management ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered
  • Undertaking staff reviews through supervision, appraisals and team meetings
  • Taking an active role in training the team of nurses to ensure staff are kept up to date with current practices and good practice developments
  • Maintaining accurate and relevant documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned development
  • Deputising in the absence of the Home Manager
