Summary
Glassgreen Dental, Elgin is looking immediately to recruit a trainee or qualified dental nurse. You will receive training plus access to a course of study. Your job involves working chair-side with a dentist, caring for patients, responsibility for the surgery and cleaning and sterilisation of instruments. You must be enthusiastic and willing to learn, reliable, with excellent organisational skill. IT skills (ability to use a PC) are essential. You will learn how to communicate with colleagues and patients in an appropriate and caring manner. The role involves developing excellent organisational skills to ensure the surgery is run in a calm and efficient way.
Entry requirements - 3 qualifications at SCQF level 4 eg Standard grades at General or above. Subjects should be Maths, English and a science subject.On successful completion of the course, which includes passing practical assessments and an exam, trainees who are awarded their SVQ in Dental Nursing and the PDA in Dental Nursing (SCQF level 7)can then become Registered Dental Nurses with the General Dental Council.
