Summary

Tendering Engineer who has a background in Control Systems Integration with experience preparing and submitting tenders in collaboration with a Sales Team is required to join our team at Actemium Automation based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, East Midlands.

SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid Working from Home and the Office in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, East Midlands (Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Ilkeston)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week, Flexible Hours

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Tendering Engineer who has a background in Control Systems Integration with experience preparing and submitting tenders in collaboration with a Sales Team.

Working as the Tendering Engineer you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle.

A customer focused role, as the Tendering Engineering you will assist the business in scoping out new opportunities, creating tenders, direct sourcing and working collaboratively with the Project Managers and Engineers.

DUTIES

Your main responsibilities as a Tendering Engineer include:

• Preparing and submitting tenders: Collaborate with our sales and engineering teams to create competitive and accurate tender proposals

• Cost estimation: Analyse project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide detailed estimates

• Technical understanding: Understand client specifications and translate them into effective technical proposals

• Risk assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies

• Client communication: Engage with clients during the tender process, addressing queries and ensuring clarity

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering background with a degree in Electrical or related field

• Proven experience in tendering, preferably in automation however open to other engineering projects

• Understanding of Automation in particular, Allen Bradley and Siemens industrial Control Systems

• Attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex requirements and create precise proposals

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to take on new skills & knowledge

• Must be eligible to work in the UK
