Summary

Who we are:

The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with a Learning Disability and autistic people since 1898. Our mission is to work towards being led by people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people to deliver high-quality housing, support and activities in their local communities. Introduction to the role;

The role involves promoting individuals’ independence by enabling them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals, dreams and wishes. You will be supporting individuals in their own home and in the community with all aspects of daily living skills, including personal care, cooking, budgeting and being part of the community.

Brief outline of the role:

You will be part of a team of support workers on a rota system covering the Bognor and Chichester area, often lone working you will need to have skills in good communication as well as managing your time effectively. You will be supporting people in their own homes as well as taking them out to enjoy the local community and further afield.

The people we support want people who are reliable and fun and helpful. I want to know who is coming to support me and when.
