Summary

Situated in the Somerset town of Yeovil, this school provides education for children aged 4 to 19 with PMLD, SLD and other complex needs.

This wonderful school are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2024.

The responsibilities of an SEN teaching assistant typically involve helping the pupils' understand instructions and school work using techniques that work for them, encouraging pupils' confidence and independence and providing feedback and assistance to teachers.

Being a SEN teaching assistant can be challenging, however it is extremely rewarding for anyone who wants to help children thrive in their education.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults that have special needs, we will also consider applicants with personal experience with special needs
- Patience, creativity and flexibility are vital in this role as the needs of each child will differ and each day will be different.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- To be comfortable with personal care
- Be able to travel to and from Yeovil for work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
