18.75 hours per week – Monday to Wednesday

We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our team of 8 based in Cumbernauld. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that high quality housing management services are delivered to our residents with a focus on making a real difference to their lives.

This is a varied role that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services. This role will be based in Cumbernauld with occasional travel to Edinburgh.

The role of Housing Officer will include:

- Delivering a high quality housing management service to tenants, partners and key stakeholders
- Allocating void and new let properties and dealing with rent arrears
- Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour cases
- Completing estate management weekly inspections
- Identifying shortfalls in service delivery and putting plans of resolution into place
- Ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for all housing management activities


Skills and experiences:

- Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within housing
- Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation
- Proven experience of delivery high quality tenancy services
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to implement solutions
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential
- SVQ3 in relevant area or equivalent qualification
- Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £35,137 based on 37.5 hours per week rising to £36,986 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
