Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

A charming primary school based near Huyton is hoping to attract a talented and empathetic recent graduate to deploy as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. Located in a peaceful, leafy suburb, this primary school is expecting the arrival of new students with complex ASD needs from September, and seeks a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with these students on a 1:1 basis and break down their barriers to learning.

    As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support learners with complex needs such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH. You will work closely with these students on a 1:1 or small-group basis, familiarizing yourself with their EHCPs (Educational Health Care Plans) and developing strategies to break down their barriers to learning and re-engage them into the classroom. You will work closely with a forward-thinking SENDCo among other members of the inclusion department to develop identify triggers and develop tailored interventions to support these students. This role represents the opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience that can then be applied in a variety of fields.
