Summary
Clinical responsibilities Organising and assisting with ward work and preoperative clerking Clerking of new patients and organising investigations Routine ward duties and rounds with consultants and other medical staff. To provide general surgical care for the Consultants patients in consultation with the consultants and other medical staff and provide care for all patients when on call. Participate in appropriate pre-op assessment clinic. Core responsibilities Communicate and work collaboratively with all members of the surgical team Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients and relatives about all aspects of their clinical care. Always maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain legible and accurate documentation in the clinical records.
