Remarkable Jobs are delighted to support a Carpentry, Joinery and Fit-out company, providing a quality service to both domestic and commercial clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially aware Project Manager, with a demonstrable joinery and fit out background. The successful candidate will have a portfolio of high end, large commercial projects, working with tier one contractors and managed teams.

Initially, the role is required to work in Reading / Oxford areas, with occasional travel into London.

‘Project Manager’ Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to a construction team, delivering the scope of work within a major work package or project to define cost, time and quality requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client, in relation to project activities.
• Ensure the project team, roles skills and behaviour are aligned with company objectives and project requirements.
• Create, develop and control an accurate project programme
• Issue a detailed monthly progress report to the client
• Deliver projects within authorised budget, optimising cost and quality parameters.
• Communicate company policies, Quality, H&S and Environmental to all member sof the project team.
• Provide regular feedback of production analysis to the Operations Director.
• Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS)

‘Project Manager’ Key Skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ of experience in a similar role
• Black CSCS, Level 6 NVQ or higher
• SMSTS
• Proven background in Carpentry/Fitout/Joinery
• Must have experience of running large commercial projects (£1-5m) for a 2nd Tier Sub-contractor, rather than just as part of a main contractors team.
• Demonstrable Project Management experience
• Commercial and contractual management skills
• Planning management skills
• Familiarity with Construction / Project Management software
• Must have experience of managing teams and sub-contractors
• Happy to commute within reason - we are looking to place someone on projects initially in the Oxford/Reading area but they should also be willing to travel to London or other parts of the South East.
