Position Overview:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who face behavioural challenges, including those with SEN. Your role will be crucial in helping them develop essential life skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour patterns. Working collaboratively with our experienced staff, as a behaviour mentor you will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Develop and implement behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) to address specific behaviour challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create and maintain effective support strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to support their emotional and behavioural development.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Assist in the development and delivery of social and emotional learning (SEL) programs.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and/or SEN is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- The ability to adapt and remain calm in challenging situations.
