Summary

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Reporting to: CEO
Location: SweetTree Home Care Services - Coleridge House, 1 Coleridge Gardens, London NW6 3QH
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. 37.5 hours weekly.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion across our key services: Live In Service, Dementia Service, Brain Injury Service, Palliative Service, Learning Disabilities Service, and Reablement Service. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will spearhead outreach initiatives, leveraging existing contacts while forging new relationships within the NHS, Local Authorities, Case Managers, Deputies, and private GP/Medical practices. This pivotal role will significantly enhance SweetTree’s visibility in local communities and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.

In this role, you will develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with our organisational objectives, focusing on service expansion and revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing and growing our list of key external stakeholders, cultivating relationships to generate referral opportunities, and promoting our services. You will identify and report on bid/tender opportunities, collaborate on proposal development, and conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities. Your efforts will ensure SweetTree’s position as a 'Partner of Choice' for relevant NHS and local authority bodies.

Essential Experience, Skills or Attitudes:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Proven track record of at least 3 years in a business development or sales role within the healthcare or social care sector, with demonstrable success in generating new business and fostering client relationships.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the care sector, including regulations, funding mechanisms, and market dynamics, particularly in England.
Networking Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, government officials, and community leaders. Bringing an existing network is preferable.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise to achieve shared goals.
Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances and priorities, with a willingness to embrace innovation and continuous learning.
Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
