Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Workplace Coach to be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Training Centre Team.
You will join the delivery team and will be responsible for the work-based assessment of the Engineering Levels 3 through to 7 of the apprenticeship programme. You will be required to deliver teaching, mentor and assessment of apprentices and lead a caseload of employers and learners to high quality standards.

You will
· Be Qualified to Level 3 in engineering (BTEC/NVQ/C&G/HNC) and/or relevant experience.
· Possess significant experience of technical work in a Mechatronics, Maintenance, Engineering setting.
· Hold an assessor qualification (A1/D32 + D33/TAQA) or have a willingness to undertake such a qualification on start.
· Be competent in the use of IT such as Laptops, Tablets and Smartphones and possess Strong customer interaction skills which include good oral and written communication skills and able to communicate with staff and stakeholders at all levels.

As a Workplace Coach you are expected to support enrichment activities and any Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events to promote the AMRC Training Centre. Some of these will be out of normal working hours.

Workplace Coaches are also responsible for developing excellent relationships with employers and reporting on the progress of the learners through the review process. Workplace Coaches work closely with curriculum staff, learners and employers to ensure that learners progress and achieve their end point assessment in a timely manner.
