Summary
My client a leading facilities management company require a Yard Operative on a temp to perm basis
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness within areas of responsibility in accordance with contract specifications. These schedules are to be completed as instructed by the Supervisor.
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/equipment immediately.
To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health & Safety and Personal Hygiene
To attend training as required by Supervisor/Manager
Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to your Supervisor or Manager
Remove rubbish from various areas.
Any items that are too large to be removed by hand must be reported to your Supervisor who will make other arrangements
All stores and materials being the property of the Contractor and all stores and/or the equipment being the property of the Client and placed in his/her care.
Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during hours of duty and report any defects to the Supervisor.
Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report to the Supervisor any dangers or hazards that may be encountered.
To ensure company provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is always worn while at work, adequate footwear and issued PPE is worn at all times.
As and when necessary, assist with other tasks within your capabilities in order to maintain and improve the cleaning services within the premises
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Previous training in waste management and standards is desirable.
FLT Licence is Essential
