Job Role:
We seek a dynamic and experienced Visiting Music & Music Technology Lecturer to join our dedicated team. As a Visiting Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring and practical lessons in music and music technology to our post-16 SEND learners. Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and interactive teaching sessions in music theory, composition, performance, and music technology, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
Providing hands-on instruction in the use of music production software, recording equipment, and digital audio workstations (DAWs), allowing students to develop essential skills in music production, sound engineering, and audio editing.
Facilitating practical workshops and studio sessions to give students real-world experience in music production, including recording, mixing, and mastering techniques.
Supporting students in the development of their musical talents and creativity through individualized instruction, constructive feedback, and performance opportunities.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the music and music technology curriculum, incorporating industry-relevant topics, technologies, and practices.
Organising musical events, performances, and showcases to celebrate student achievements and showcase their talents to the wider community.
Assessing student progress through practical projects, performances, and recordings, and providing feedback to support their growth and development.
Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to pursue their passion for music and music technology.
