Summary
Currently seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to fill a position in Preston (PR7). The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Class 1 Licence and must have Class 1 driving experience for at least 2 years.
We are looking for someone who can start between the below hours.
Time Window - 18:00 - 23:00
Your start time will be in between these times. Please see below the different pay rates.
Days Monday - Saturday 06:00 - 18:00 - £17.00
PM Monday - Saturday 18:00 - 22:00 - £20.75
Nights Monday - Saturday 22:00 - 06:00 - £22.00
Days Sunday + BH 06:00 - 18:00 - £25.50
PM Sunday + BH 18:00 - 22:00 - £29.25
Nights Sunday + BH 22:00 - 06:00 - £30.50
Overtime after 47.5 hours - £25.50
Responsibilities of the Class 1 HGV Driver Operate a Class 1 vehicle trunking to different depots and store deliveries. Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports. Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home. Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Requirements of the Class 1 HGV Driver Minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience Must have a clean licence Verifiable references No infringements Immediate assessments available where you will be required to complete an onsite tacho test of 40 questions followed by a driving assessment.
