Summary

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - ASC CentreRequired to start 2nd September 2024 – 32.50 hours per week 39 weeks per year – term time plus inset days. Permanent position.
Scale 5 Salary £23,174 to £24,629 per annumWe wish to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our effective ASC Centre team. ‘Pupils love coming to this school. Teachers expect all pupils to work hard and try their best. Pupils learn well across a range of subjects.’ ‘Staff are dedicated to supporting pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff have a can-do attitude to ensuring that these pupils learn successfully. Well-tailored teaching enables pupils with SEND to develop knowledge as well as their peers.’ (Ofsted January 2020) The school is set in extensive grounds, and also benefits from having an attached ASC Centre, an on-site Children’s Centre, a playgroup and a 0-5 fee paying Nursery. The role will involve working alongside the teacher in the classroom as well as working independently with individuals and groups of pupils, following a plan agreed with the teacher. You will be required to maintain necessary records and liaise with class teachers about pupil’s progress.
