Salary: CLF Grade B (£23,846 - £26,108) Closing Date: 6 June 2024 Expected Interview Date: 10th June Start Date: 1st September 2024 We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of specialist team of staff supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues. Lime Hills Academy is a rapidly progressing and expanding special school for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in years 5-11. Due to our current programme of expansion, we are looking for enthusiastic and young person-centred Teaching Assistants/ Mentors. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, resilient, highly motivated and are passionate about inclusive education. As a teaching assistant/ mentor you will assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo and class teachers.) Support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being. Works collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.
We have vacancies for teaching assistants in KS2, KS3 and KS4. KS2 is on the Nailsea site and KS4 on the Weston site.
