Midday Supervisory Assistant A1 £22,366 pro rataHours per week: -KS1 Teaching Assistant: 28 hrs and 30 mins per week term time only and includes an additional 1 hour after school on Mondays for meetings
-Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm on Monday and 8.30 – 3.30 on Tuesday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch break each day
-Midday Supervisory Assistant 5 hours per week term time onlyStart date: September 2024 An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a SEND Teaching Assistant to work at Horsforth Newlaithes Primary School. We require a skilled person who has experience of working with pupils with a range of complex needs to provide 1:1 support for some of the time for a child in Key Stage 1. The candidate will have specialist skills (curricular/ learning), training and experience to support a pupil with complex social and communication difficulties, including autism to overcome barriers to learning. The role will involve working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to implement an agreed work programme for the pupil. We require an experienced, enthusiastic person who is willing to learn, support teaching and learning and address the personal needs of the pupil. You will need to be adaptable, a good communicator, cheerful, calm and be able to work as part of our team. This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period, to start in September. Candidates will ideally have an NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification. A visit to the school is strongly recommended. The successful candidate will also supervise and support children during the lunchtime session. You must be willing to undertake both roles. If you possess the following qualities: • Flexible
