Dedicated engineering services for the food and beverage, automotive and aerospace industries, the company has tailored specialist engineering solutions to many of the world's largest manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a series of pipework installation projects across the Midlands.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter you will be working on site at a variety of food production and industrial sites across the Midlands. Primary responsibilities will be to maintain the building services and process pipework as necessary to ensure services are not interrupted. Typical duties will include isolating them removing damaged, blocked or obsolete pipework for example ½" up to 2" schedule 40 stainless steel water and steam lines, stainless steel mapress pipework and larger heavy walled flanged steel pipework. Other duties will include identifying then repairing water, air, and steam leaks along with replacing valve sets and pumps. There will also be some fabrication work to repair damaged supports and brackets along with tack welding.
About You
Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 1JR.
Demonstrable experience of industrial / commercial pipe fitting preferably within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential for this role.
Fabrication and basic MIG/STICK or TIG welding experience would be advantageous.
Ideally NV3 Level 3 or JIB Qualified in a pipework related qualification.
IPAF is essential due to the high level nature of the work.
