Summary

We are working with an established business who have been operating for some years and who are looking to expand their team with another experienced Payroll Executive in their small friendly team in their Faversham office.

Offering c£30k depending on experience, potential for hybrid working, flexibility in hours, 25+8 days holiday and free parking, this is a lovely role for the right person.

You will have three years previous payroll experience with a keen eye for detail and enjoy working within a small but busy team. This role will be varied, fast paced and you will work with number of clients so there is a strong focus on developing relationships and customer care.

Main Duties:

  • Process changes to client's payrolls including, pay details for starters and leavers are checked and recorded in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that any payroll deductions, relating to leave of absence, sickness absence, maternity leave, etc. are processed in line with the client's rules.
  • Ensure that monthly payroll reports are produced timely and accurately.
  • Ensure external payments are reconciled to the payroll and paid to the applicable agencies in line with the relevant deadlines.
  • On-board new clients as they begin the service, receiving employee data and YTD balances and populating the data templates, ensuring all data is in the correct format.
  • Import data and set up the payroll configuration for operation. Set up user accounts and access to the systems.
  • Validating the client data and managing parallel runs if required.
  • Processing multiple payrolls in line with the payroll schedules for each client.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including a grade C in Maths/English.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working within a fast-paced payroll function.
  • Experience of developing and operating a payroll system.
  • Experience of managing large amounts of complex information.
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex workload to a timescale.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent planning and organisation skills.
