Summary

We are looking for a Yard & Facilities Operative to join our team at Wincanton. Responsible for the general yard maintenance, waste management and managing traffic flow inbound and outbound.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain full security clearance throughout employment which includes providing UK residence and work history for the last 5 years.

Day to Day

  • General Yard Maintenance and Housekeeping 
  • Site Car Park Maintenance
  • Management of Traffic Flow inbound and Outbound through a gatehouse and in the yard area. 
  • Working Outside is a Requirement of the Job role and PPE will be provided 
  • Breaking down of scrap wood for disposal
  • Organising of waste and skip collection.
  • Shredding of scrap cardboard to be recycled into packing material.
  • Cover of the gatehouse, managing traffic in and out of the transport yard
  • General maintenance tasks
  • Escorting of visiting contractors when required
  • Security patrol’s
