Summary
Therapists at the James Paget University Hospital are a positive and forward thinking multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants/practitioners. We are always striving to improve our services, particularly in these current challenging times within the NHS and the COVID pandemic. Using audit, LEAN and quality improvement models for service improvement initiatives, new policies and standard operating procedures, we are keen for you to become an integral part of continuing this journey. We are part of an exciting new model of working, embedding research into our department and supportive of our team engaging in research and innovation. Personal and professional development is key within the James Paget University Hospital and the Integrated Therapies Department. We will support you in achieving your career goals, through our well-structured supervision and appraisal system and our own highly specialised staff. The department actively encourages the utilisation of courses and training opportunities provided and signposted through our Operational Development and Wellbeing Service. Training opportunities range from clinical and non-clinical skills, through to leadership and the development of others. The departments links with the Education Department continue to grow with the use of CPD funding as available. Core working hours are 8.00am to 4.00pm, however, the post-holder will be expected to work flexibly across seven days a week as part of an established roster.
