Summary

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Monmouthshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This mental health service is a hospital that provides medium and low secure care for males and females with mental illnesses and/or personality disorders and for males with intellectual/learning disabilities

**To be considered for this position be medically qualified with MRC Psych or equivalent and on GMC’s specialist register**

As the Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:
• Participate in Clinical Governance, quality assurance and audit in the SPA sessions
• Contribute to plans for ongoing service developments
• Share administrative duties including provision of information, data and reports required for management of service
• Be an active member of medical staffing structures
• Manage and supervise psychiatric trainees
• Provide clinical leadership to mental health teams within the service

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Fully registered and licensed medical practitioner
• Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
• On Specialist Register
• Approved Clinician in Wales
• Experience in forensic psychiatry

The successful Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary of £150,000 per annum + On-Call Enhancements. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
