An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help us:

1) Support the regional pilot development of the Associate Psychological Practitioner workforce within the North West

2) Support the Psychological Professions Network in the North West.

As part of the regional pilot development of the Associate Psychological Practitioner workforce within the North West, we are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to spend half their time supporting with psychometric analysis, report writing, liaison with stakeholders, teaching and training (if applicable) and other project-based work. This may include conducting projects which have publication outputs.

The Assistant Psychologist will spend the other half of their time based within the Psychological Professions Network (PPN) in the North West. The PPN is a regional membership network for all psychological professionals, Experts by Experience and stakeholders contributing to NHS commissioned psychological healthcare across the North West of England. This role will support with promotion and communications of the network, and supporting project work being conducted within the network.

We have funding for one full-time role for 12 months.

Whilst this post is largely focused on project work, there may be clinically focused opportunities within Trust psychological services.

You will have excellent organisation skills, be able to manage and maintain upkeep of different databases and be skilled in both statistical analyses and interpreting results. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to be part of writing up articles for peer review and dissemination. Ideally, you will have experience in this area and excellent writing skills will be required. The role will also involve the creation of resources (e.g., posters, infographics, presentations etc) so we are also keen to make sure the ideal candidate has good creative skills too.

You will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist to do the following:
• Liaise with all stakeholders/project partners for each project
• Presenting outcomes to different stakeholders, in different formats
• Review national, regional and local guidance, as appropriate
• Keep, update and manage databases.
• Run statistical analyses and interpret results.
• Collate & interpret qualitative information and descriptive statistics.
• Support in the writing of articles for peer review & dissemination.
• Support in the development of specific proposals relevant to each project (e.g. career frameworks, training and development)
• Write up projects relating to workforce
