Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a 0.4 Lecturer Coordinator in Art & Design (T-Levels), who will be responsible for the effective and efficient teaching and coordination of courses within the relevant curriculum area.

This is an exciting new position a person who has the skills and industry experience in fashion and textiles. Experience in using a sewing machine, use of a heat press and working with a variety of different textiles would support you in this teaching role. T Levels are a new qualification being delivered from September and the successful candidate will also be responsible along with others in the team to create new written and visual teaching aids/assessments to support the students undertaking the course.

The successful candidate will be required to possess minimum Level 3 in relevant subject. It is desirable that the candidate will also possess an IT qualification, Level 2 Equality & Diversity, Degree, Level 3 Assessors Certificate, Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance/Internal Verification and QTLS.

Applicants will also have recent experience of teaching on a range of courses in FE or a training establishment and 3 years’ experience of working in the industry.

This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
