Summary
1st Steps are looking for a patient, positive apprentice to complete a Level 2 Early years Apprenticeship.
Whilst working in 1st Steps Nursery you will be required to:-
Assist in and supporting educational games in the learning environment
Assist in preparing the learning environment
Assist in feeding and changing children.
Observe and assess children to help their development.
Work as part of a team of professional staff.
All uniform will be supplied free of charge
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. 1st step Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if requiredThis will be delivered through 1st Steps Nurseries dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
Qualifications required
Previous Early Years experience is desired but not essential.
Skills required
Self awareness.
Creativity.
Problem solving.
Aptitude for learning
Communication
Prospects
To progress to a higher level of Early Years qualification.
Gain fulltime employment
Qualification / Standard : ST0888 Early years practitioner
Duration 15 months
