This opening assignment is for 5-6 months

City: STOKE ON TRENT, Staffordshire

A Senior Business Partner (Financial) is required to cover Corporate Landlord & Property Services, to develop relationships within the service and to tidy up budgets. This role requires significant experience dealing with this service and the ability to deliver significant change, bring the service team on board with budget management and also ensure that data is accurate and can be analysed as required.

Key responsibilities:

Support the strategy of delivering savings and create efficiencies in property management.
Align finance and service data sets.
Develop an accurate and timely reporting process for the service.
Ensure that data is accurate and can be analysed as required.
Bring the service team on board with budget management.

Experience:

Significant experience dealing with Corporate Landlord & Property Services.
Experience of business partnering.
Experience of financial service delivery.
Experience of bringing a service team on board with budget management.
Experience of ensuring that data is accurate and able to be analysed.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.



Skills & Abilities:

Ability to deliver significant change.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
Ability to be analytical, to think laterally and creatively to solve problems.
Ability to develop and present logical proposals for action which engage and persuade stakeholders.
Ability to manipulate and interpret financial information to identify trends, risks, mitigations and propose action.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with staff at all levels, Elected Members and external agencies, groups and individuals, that generates confidence, respect and trust.
A clear strategic thinker, able to make effective decisions in a complex and challenging environment.
