Welcome to the Perth & Kinross Drug & Alcohol Services known as the IDART. IDART stands for Integrated Drug Alcohol Recovery Team. Over the past number of years Perth & Kinross Council and NHS Tayside substance use services have been working hard to become integrated and to ensure there is a seamless pathway for people wanting to access services and start their own recovery journey. The service works across all of Perth and Kinross ensuring a person centred, holistic, whole family approach is taken by each of its trained professional staff.

The Integrated Team are made up of skilled staff from NHS, Perth & Kinross Council , Allied Health Professionals. - this is a specialist area of work and the members of IDART work hard to ensure that people who use substances and are looking to reduce these or stop, have a safe service where staff listen and work together to reduce the number of non-fatal overdoses and drug related deaths.

IDART are now recruiting for a Social Work Assistant if you are interested in working in a busy, creative service, which welcomes new ideas and forward thinking, then IDART would like to hear from you.

This post/role within IDART welcomes application from those that are able to offer the skills and knowledge this post to ensuring appropriate interventions are considered for individuals who have mental health and drug and/or drink issues in their life.

This role will cover the whole of the Perth & Kinross area and you will work with both colleagues from Health & Social Care from within the partnership, there will also be an expectation that this role will assist in the development of any future learning/training programmes and deliver these to both in-house staff but other sector professionals working within the field of substance use.

Essential valid UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle.

The IDART Social Work Assistant Worker has overall responsibility for assessment, risk assessment, personal outcome and recovery focused care planning and review, and is also directly involved in the delivery of support for adults with substance use issues.

The Social Work Assistant will organise and manage the delivery of support in line with policy, procedure and best practice.
