Summary
The Governing Body of Bedwas High School are looking to recruit a passionate and committed member of staff to join our Pastoral and Wellbeing Team, as a Ready to Learn Officer, who will take responsibility for, and lead, our internal exclusion provision, Ready to Learn. This post would suit individuals with a strong background in behaviour management able to address the needs of pupils often with complex backgrounds on an individual and small group settings.
You will be joining an outstanding team of staff which comprises of friendly, enthusiastic and engaging teaching and non-teaching members of staff, wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for young people and ensuring that we are achieving our vision of ‘caring and achieving’.
The school is fully committed to the successful candidate`s professional development and will provide all relevant training as required.
The successful candidate will:
• Be passionate about the achievement of all children and doing “whatever it takes” to secure pupil progress and outcomes
• Have strong organisation and management skills
• Be able to form strong, productive working relationships with both pupils and staff
• Recognise that behaviour is a symptom of an unmet need and be passionate about working with pupils and their families to provide the necessary support plans and packages
