Grade 4 (SCP 5-7) £23,500 – £24,294 fte
25 hours per week, term-time only – actual salary - £13,349 – £13,800 per annum
Fixed-Term to 31st August 2025
Gillshill Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and highly motivated Achievement Support Assistant to work as part of our dedicated team, initially on a fixed-term basis.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will work in either Key Stage One or Key Stage Two, providing appropriate support for pupils of all abilities within the classroom setting. The successful applicant will also support teaching staff with the children’s social, emotional and academic progress, delivering interventions to enhance pupils' learning and provide supervision and care of children at various times of the day.
We are looking to appoint an individual who:
• Can provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils;
• Can establish productive working relationships with children, acting as a role model and setting high expectations;
• Will provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning;
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working within a supportive team;
• Is well organised, flexible and creative;
• Is willing to participate fully in ensuring inclusion of all children;
• Can assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary;
