Summary
We are recruiting for a Facilities Office Stores and Despatch Operative at Hexagon Tower in Manchester, M9 8GQ
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm
40 hrs a week, 8 hr shifts
Pay rate: £12.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
·Labelling and packing of chemical samples according to IATA and ADR regulations
·Daily gas bottle checks, filing and providing gas supplies to various locations on site
·Provide and collect packages according to Help Desk/Lab Steward requests
·Label and store waste chemicals in the appropriate place and franking (if required)
·Provide cover for Mail Room - collection and distribution of mail
·Provide cover for courier despatch services
·Provide cover for any postal and courier issues
·Book in all courier deliveries and distribute
·Sort and collate all incoming mail and distribute
·Monthly stock check of packaging materials
·Ensure appearance is always professional and reflects the professional image of Floorbrite ltd. Uniform and name badge to be worn as required
·Provide fork lift truck duties when necessary
·Attend team meetings
·Ensure post room/courier room kept clean and tidy at all times
·To carry out any reasonable task requested of you by a member of the management team
·To comply with all relevant Floorbrite policies and procedures
·To observe and follow all site Health & Safety procedures of Floorbrite and ensure the same is observed by other post room operatives
·To work as part of the overall Floorbrite team on site
·To promote proactive approach and work ethic to support the first-class experience for visitors and staff
·Help tenants with any queries regarding deliveries, waste collection, sample dispatch, packaging requirements, customs issues etc.
Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
·Excellent English, both spoken and written
·Excellent and professional telephone manner
·Excellent customer care skills
Desirable
·IT literate and proficient in all Microsoft Word
·Previous experience in working in a busy postroom/courier environment
·FLT Certificate
·Gas Awareness Certificate
·IATA/ADR Qualification
Communication
·To liaise with other members of the team and other departments within the company as appropriate
·Excellent telephone manner
·Provide knowledgeable, confident, efficient customer service at all times
·Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively whether in face-to-face or telephone conversations
Relationship Building
·To build good relationships with internal (staff) and external (contractors & visitors) customers as appropriate
