Summary
Wellness in Mind are seeking a Support Worker to join their team, to assist in the delivery of nature-based social prescribing interventions (“green social prescribing”) to clients experiencing mental health difficulties.
Wellness in Mind is a specialist mental wellbeing service providing psychoeducation, information and guidance to clients aged 18 or above. Our service aims to de-stigmatise mental health and offers holistic support in a warm, friendly setting.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the positive impact that nature can have on our wellbeing to supporting a range of individuals to explore green spaces and improve their mental and emotional health. A broad range of training opportunities will be provided for this role.
The successful candidate will:
• be dynamic and enthusiastic.
• have excellent communication skills and be able to build rapport with service users both one-to-one and in a group setting.
• have a strong practical understanding of risk management and safeguarding.
• have an awareness of a variety of mental health interventions.
• be able to effectively assess clients’ strengths and needs.
• be able to respectfully support clients’ diverse individual circumstances.
• work in partnership with various agencies to maximise service delivery.
• have a strong commitment to equality and diversity in all aspects of their role.
