Summary

Personal Assistants support people to live well. They provide the right support at the right time to help others to live their best lives. Is this you? Do you want a job that is rewarding and fulfilling?

The Role
A family is seeking a care assistant to support a young man of 24. He is non verbal, however, he is responsive and engaging, demonstrating a cheeky side to his personality. This post is to support his mum to get him up in the morning and to get him ready for bed in the evening. The days needed are negotiable. This young man uses a manual wheelchair and you will be required to support with moving and handling, including the use of a hoist. Personal care support is needed. All aspects of care will be 2:1 support, helping his mother.

The Person
You must live locally
You must have care experience.
You must have experience in the moving and handling of people.
You must be experienced in using hoists.

The Hours
10 hours per month are available. However, the hours are used flexibly and may vary. The support is needed for 30 minute visits at 7.30am and 7.30pm. Days needed are negotiable.

The Pay
£12 per hour

Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by your employer.
