Hospitality Assessor

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Hospitality Assessor to join our team. This dual role encompasses both our JGW+ and Apprenticeship programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners in achieving their hospitality qualifications. Key responsibilities include visiting learners at their workplaces, conducting thorough assessments, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Salary Banding: £24,500 to £27,000

Base: Covering a regional area

Contract type: Full-time, permanent.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

Deliver from Level 1 to Level 4 qualifications to learners, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.
Covering a regional area and travelling to visit learners in the workplace to undertake assessments.
Complete ILP’s and reviews mapping out learning routes for individuals.
Reference and mark evidence collated in the workplace for key skill requirements.
Completion of learner attendance records and learner-guided contact hours, ensuring audit requirements are met.
Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of agreed performance targets.
To arrange further training through day release and to deliver in-house training support as required.
Maintain appropriate records of the client’s achievements and meet performance criteria as laid down by relevant awarding bodies.
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?

Essential criteria

Experience of delivery within the required area of training
Qualified Assessor within Hospitality
Experience of Work-Based Learning
Experience of Award Body Practices
ESW Communication Level 2
ESW Application of Number Level 2
Occupational experience within the route of delivery.
Apprenticeship delivery experience with the route of delivery.
Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting adults and young people in essential skills (or willing to work towards)
A1 Assessor Award or equivalent qualification
Desirable criteria

Welsh speaking is desirable.
Welsh Apprenticeship knowledge
