Our client has been supplying water since 1857. Their water treatment works operate 24/7, meeting the demands of their customers year-round. Due to a department restructure, they have several exciting vacancies. They seek self-motivated, flexible individuals with keen attention to detail to join their production team. The successful candidates will ensure all work is carried out in line with company procedures and comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Position: Senior Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Technician
Location: Water treatment works, reservoirs, and booster stations across Hampshire and West Sussex.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver training, coaching, and mentoring for technicians and apprentices, ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and technical quality.
• Monitor performance through effective performance management, providing clear direction, support, and guidance.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures, including managing risk assessments, COSHH assessments, internal inspections, and audits.
• Provide feedback for the Employee Performance Development Review process, identifying training needs and offering additional support as required.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments and internal safety audits regularly, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are in adequate condition, reporting any defects to the Production Team Leader.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving Planned Maintenance Procedures.
• Ensure the timely delivery of agreed programs of planned work, addressing any delays promptly.
• Maintain efficient operation of all Storage and Production assets.

• Computer and smartphone literate.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Industry-related qualification (e.g., CABWI Level 2 or 3 in Water Treatment) and/or a relevant Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience and practical understanding of water treatment processes or water industry exposure.
• Supervisory Qualification Level 3 and/or previous leadership experience, with a willingness to undergo further training.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent practical understanding and experience.
• GCSEs (A to C grade or Level 4 or above) in English, Maths, and ideally a Science-based subject.
• Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and basic hydraulic principles.
• Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) / touchscreen devices.
• Full UK driving licence (required to undertake our driver assessment).
