We are looking for a Rent Accounting Officer to join our Income Collection Team. The Income Collection Team are responsible for managing over 4000 tenancies and the Rent Accounting Officer supports the team by maintaining rent accounting records including debit control, standing order, direct debit payments and balancing accounts. Working alongside your job share partner you will prepare and maintain statistical information and ensure the accurate and timely posting of all monies received from customers.

In this role you will manage your own workload and you will be responsible for ensuring we are able to send out rent statements to tenants each quarter and you will make sure the process is followed for the yearly rent review to ensure we are following legislation and charging the correct rent amount. You will also work to resolve issues related to payments or queries with direct debits which may involve direct communication with customers.

Consideration may be given to applicants who do not achieve all essential criteria, but are able to demonstrate a good level of relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate will have:
• High degree of computer literacy and competent in the use of Microsoft excel.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and keep to tight deadlines.
• A track record of providing excellent customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly through training and support from colleagues.
• Someone who will represent GREAT values and behaviours

What you need to know:

This is a permanent role and after initial training can either be based from our Beeston office or working from home with visits to the office as required.

Working hours are 18.5 hours per week working either Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays, with business hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm or working the 18.5 hours spread evenly across Monday to Wednesday.

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview which may include a test in order to determine suitability for the role.
