Summary

About The Role

Do you like being around young people and helping them achieve their full potential? Do you enjoy the challenge of working with adults with complex needs? Are you able to inspire, motivate and guide people to navigate challenges successfully. Do you want the opportunity for continued career development and supported personal growth? If so, we want to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time supported Housing Officer to join our team working from our Plymouth Foyer, our supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25. This is a hybrid role that will allow your skills & experience in one or both Young People and Adults Mental Health to grow, supporting our customers to positively move on and live independently in the community.

Every day is different; one day you will be on site carrying out estate related issues, getting rooms ready to let or working with the support team over a move on case, the next day out and about managing Anti-Social behaviour cases or signing up new customers into their new home and then ending the week carrying out Fire Risk Assessment works alongside our estate teams.

You will need to take a creative approach to managing your service; adapting your style of communication with everyone to provide a person-centred approach to help the young people and adults we support to manage their tenancies with us and to support their move on.

The most important part of this role is to have pride in your work and have a positive attitude, a proactive approach and the confidence to manage a diverse range of people. You will be able to balance your passion and commitment with good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis working 22 hours per week ideally over 3 days (to be agreed at interview stage). The role will be both scheme based at Plymouth Foyer and field based.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups, and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
