Summary

Confident, outgoing and empathetic *Female Support Worker required to support an 18-year-old young woman with Cerebral Palsy, living in the Bangor area, with her daily activities.

The role involves providing transport and support to access community groups, outdoor and sports activities, shopping, voluntary jobs and days out at theme parks/ other leisure activities.

You will be required to provide domestic support around the home including cleaning and assisting/preparing meals as well as supporting the client in taking care of her pet dog and cats.

Some assistance with feeding is required but the role does not involve personal care.

Working hours: 16 hours per week. Shift pattern/number of days per week can be flexible and agreed at interview stage. The role requires occasional weekend/overnight work.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Rates of pay £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.

An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training. Registration with Social Care Wales is essential.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
