Glasgow Life is looking for a Technician to join us on a full time, permanent contract. As a Technician you will be joining our in-demand Arts Music and Cultural venues. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports Glasgow Arts and Music venues and events.

The role
As a Technician you’ll be an integral part of the team by providing technical support to our clients and end users, both internal and external. Reporting to the Senior Technician and working alongside an established team.

Important Dates: Closing Date 21st July 2024 with interviews provisionally scheduled for week commencing 29th July 2024

The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Technician you’ll need (not exhaustive):
• Demonstrable experience in a technical post in a major arts and culture venue.
• Ability to operate sound and lighting control equipment and to set up stages and performance installation.
• To oversee maintenance of all technical equipment in accordance of maintenance schedule
• Supervise the set up and taking down of complex theatre, music, conference, and exhibition events; this to include the rigging and de-rigging of lights, sound, staging, and AV equipment. Ensuring that these complex installations are erected to agreed standards.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and regulations.
