PLAY LEADER
Are you reliable, enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and experienced in working with groups of children aged 5 – 11 years?Beavers After School Hours (BASH), based at Beavers Community Primary School, Hounslow, are seeking a responsible person to join the team and work as an Assistant Play Leader, working with groups of children aged 5 – 11 years.
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and caring person with a good understanding of childcare to facilitate stimulating, creative and physical play-based activities in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.
Applicants would, ideally, have a relevant childcare qualification NVQ 2 or equivalent, together with good and up to date experience of working with groups of children in this age range and the ability to work as part of a team.
A current Enhanced DBS check is essential, while 1st Aid and Food Safety qualifications or willingness to attend these trainings are desirable. Current knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted Standards would be an advantage.The After-School Club hours of work are 3pm-6.00pm, term time only (excluding Bank Holidays and School Closure Days). Rate of pay is £14.56 per hour. This is an enhanced rate which includes holiday pay.Beavers Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
