Summary

The Opportunity

Salary: £18,800 to £19,114 per annum pro rata'd (The full-time equivalent is £23,500 to £23,893 per annum)
Contract Length: Fixed Term to cover maternity absence until June 2025
Working Pattern: Part time, 29.6 hours per week, over 4 days.
Location: Based in Bognor Regis - due to the nature of the role hybrid working isn't available.

The Family Time Contact Team Service arrange and deliver contact where Children's Social Care are required to supervise a child's contact with a parent or family members with whom they are not resident. We work to ensure contact is a warm and supportive experience for children and young people and support social workers in the organisation and delivery of contract arrangements.

As a Family Time Administrator, you will provide information, support, guidance and a front-line service delivery to families, children, and young people. Providing reliable, efficient, and effective administration support to the service you will be required to respond to client queries, maintaining records and producing standard correspondence whilst providing support for the day-to-day activities.

This role is key to ensuring service continuity and availability as well as contributing to the smooth running of services and the effective introduction of new services or processes. You will also assist in maintaining effective partnerships with a range of professionals including social workers, foster carers, and parents/carers.

About you

The key skills and experience required to fulfil this role include:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to deliver a good customer experience for all stakeholders you will engage with. This could be the children and families you are working with through to Social Workers or external agencies such as schools etc.
  • Experience of working with challenging families, showing a clear understanding of the challenges and barriers they may face whilst they are engaging with you.
  • Team working and the ability to complete shared tasks to deliver a good service to others.
  • Administration experience and being able to meet set deadlines.
  • Good analytical and judgement skills are important to be able to assist with customer queries.
  • Proficient IT skills: Microsoft Office suite, a good understanding and confidence to use Excel 365 is essential, as well as being able to navigate the internet and experience of databases.
