Summary

My very busy, well-established clients have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, based at our site in Stockport.

As our Electrical Engineer, you will support our Stockport site with the maintenance of all machinery and equipment under the direction of the General Manager – Fabrics.

40 hours per week – 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
1 hour – Unpaid Lunch Break.
Salary upto/around £35k DOE

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
• To maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment in accordance with relevant current legislation, and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly.
• To carry out electrical/mechanical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
• To meet requirements of all departments at our Stockport site, as seconded in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous works.
• To be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the General Manager Fabrics immediately.
• To carry out portable/fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly.
• To carry out all machinery planned maintenance in accordance with the instruction of the General Manager Fabrics, in line with the manufacturers instruction and current legislation.
• Action specific work as detailed on maintenance/project request forms.
• Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical/mechanical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the department. Supervise contractors as and when required by the General Manager Fabrics.
• To comply with the Health and Safety Policy at all times, including keeping workspaces clean and tidy.
• procedures.
• Carry out any other duties when required, which may include working at other sites or in other areas of the Company.

Essential Criteria:
Fully qualified time served electrician. Current 17th edition IEE regulation certificate. PLC experience.
Mechanical experience.
