The Role
We’re recruiting for a Executive Assistant here at the Ministry of Justice, to be part of our warm and collaborative Service Transformation Group.

The Service Transformation Group has been formed to lead on service transformation across the Ministry of Justice and its agencies, including building a strategic vision for modernising and digitising MoJ’s legacy systems and generating a coordinated plan for transformation. The Group consists of Justice Digital and three of MoJ’s executive agencies – the Office of the Public Guardian, Legal Aid Agency, and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
The STG Director General’s office is a new, closely-knit and highly efficient team. The Executive Assistants will provide administrative support to the Director General and senior team. Responsibilities include meeting support, collation of routine information, and ad hoc administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the DGs Private Office to manage core office functions and processes.
• Support the day-to-day running of the Private Office or allocated unit.
• Manage incoming requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide Secretariat support for key meetings for the DG and the senior team.
• Support the teams with ad-hoc duties.
• Organise, produce and maintain accurate records for area of work.
• Act as first point of contact for general administrative support as and where required.
• Maintain and create relevant databases and ensure they contain accurate data, routinely quality assuring them – this can include restricted or confidential information.

Person Specification

Essential
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively and flexibly with others and within a dynamic team, often to short deadlines and to achieve common goals.
• Good judgement and approach to situations, tasks and problems, and a self-starter who can work independently.
• Good working practice of Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote.
Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for BPSS clearance (candidates may be required to undergo SC clearance at a later date)
