• Qualified teacher status
• Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD
• Experience of teaching in KS1 or KS2
• Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching
• Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies
• An understanding of good inclusive education
• Understanding/experience of using programmes such as RWI, Talk 4 Writing etc.

About the role

• Carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
• Carry out appropriate planning, teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
• Promote the aims and objectives of the academy and maintain its philosophy of education.
