Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for



The Grangefield Academy requires an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Science. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following as a Classroom Teacher:

Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils, promote good progress and outcomes by pupils, demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge, plan and teach well-structured lessons, adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, make accurate and productive use of assessment, manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment and fulfil wider professional responsibilities.

It is an exciting time to join us at The Grangefield Academy. In December 2022 Ofsted rated us Outstanding in every category. It recognised that ‘Students feel safe and happy’ and ‘they talk positively about their experiences’. Our recent GCSE results were significantly above the national average and overall we had a progress 8 score of +0.20.

Salary Range:MPS1 – UPS3 (£30,000 - £46,525)

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
